WE ARE LOOKING FOR EXPEDITED FREIGHT DISPATCHERS
Accountabilities:
- Negotiate Broker rates for expedited loads, and re-routes
- Provide customer service support to internal and external customer by ensuring accurate and timely dispatch
- Manage workload and coordinate drivers and contractors to maximize efficiency
- Maintain and update dispatch system
- Maintain productivity/cost within budget and pricing contracts
- Managing demurrage, detention, layover, and other accessorial costs in accordance with company process and solve Driver/Contractor/Broker issues
Qualifications
-
High School Diploma, or equivalent, from an accredited institution.
At least 3 years of experience in transportation and third party dispatch experience in sourcing and developing carriers and routing.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Excellent problem solving, organizational, negotiating, and communication skills (i.e. oral and written).
Ability to multi-task.
Must be willing to work a flexible work week.
